This week's spotlight is on... BLOWING IT UP | Getting the most out of your scene.
Tom Burton is a rising star in the Melbourne comedy scene and for years he has been using improv as a tool to create comedy sell out comedy shows.
While Tom is an expert at doing improv for improv-sake, he's also an expert at using improv as a generator and iterator of ideas.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to use improv to stumble into good ideas and then perfect them. By the end of the afternoon, you'll have a polished scene or two ready to perform down at Theory Bar in the afternoon.

Instructor Profile
Tom Burton
Tom Burton is a comedian who has been an ensemble member at TIC since 2018. He performs weekly on Harold night with his team Deep Blue. He is also in the cast for The Remix, FTIQ and House Sketch.
He has performed in a number of festivals, most notably as one half of the sketch comedy duo, the Burton Brothers. Tom can be seen performing regularly at comedy rooms across Melbourne where he flails wildly about on stage.
